Bordeaux will host a wine week for professionals and the public from 16 to 26 June 2022 instead of the Vinexpo trade fair, which will no longer open there. Public events will take place in the vineyards, wine shops and restaurants of the region, and the "Bordeaux Fête le Vin" will celebrate a comeback on the city's quays. Exhibitions such as "Picasso and the Wine" take up the cultural and artistic aspects.

For experts, the focus is on the symposium "Act for Change" on how the wine industry is coping with climate change. It will deal with the impact on production plants, the adaptation of products to consumer expectations and the consequences for marketers. There will also be a focus on organic and environmentally certified wines and exclusive evening events.
The president of the Bordeaux Winegrowers' Association (CIVB), Bernard Farges, hopes that "there could be such events in other European wine-growing countries. This would underline the importance of wine in our society, especially at a time when Europe is questioning alcohol consumption."
