The group of companies of the Bollinger champagne house, SJB, has taken over the Domaine Hubert Brochard in Sancerre (Loire) for an undisclosed sum.

The estate comprises about 60 hectares of vineyards in the best sites of the Sancerre appellation, which extend along the villages of Chavignol, Ménétréol-sous-Sancerre, Thauvenay, Sainte-Gemme and Sancerre. It also owns vineyards in Pouilly-Fumé. The domaine was founded in 1900 by Aimée and Hubert Brochard and is currently run by fourth and fifth generation family members.

In this region, SJB already owns Langlois-Chateau in Saumur as well as Château de Thauvenay, also in Sancerre, since 2016.

The group owns the Bollinger and Ayala champagne houses, as well as Chanson Père & Fils in Burgundy, the Delamain cognac house and Ponzi Vineyards in the Willamette Valley in Oregon (USA).
