For the sixth Barcelona Wine Week (BWW), significantly more visitors traveled than in the previous year. Almost 26,000 guests attended, of which about 20 percent came from 70 countries. This is about a quarter more than the previous year. The number of international buyers also increased by 25 percent to 962 professionals. Most came from the USA, the Mercosur countries (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay), Germany, China, the Netherlands, India, and Indonesia. They had around 13,700 business meetings with the 1,350 exhibitors from the Spanish growing regions.

At the opening, the responsible Minister of Agriculture announced a new foreign promotion strategy for countries with high growth potential. This includes primarily India, the Mercosur states, and Indonesia. The economic impact of the fair for Barcelona is estimated by the organizers to be 17 million euros.

The next Barcelona Wine Week will take place from February 1 to 3, 2027.
