The most important Spanish wine fair Barcelona Wine Week (BWW) has been postponed to the beginning of April. It will now take place from 4 to 6 April at the Montjuïc fairgrounds of the Fira de Barcelona. The organisers are thus reacting to the current Corona uncertainty and travel restrictions. The original date of 7 to 9 February did not guarantee a smooth running of the fair, said an official letter from the organisers. More than 600 exhibitors and 20,000 national and international visitors are expected.

J. Antonio Valls, managing director of Alimentaria Exhibitions and co-organiser of Barcelona Wine Week: "The new date will allow the fair to maintain its status. We have invited 350 international buyers. The aim is to make their entry and stay as easy as possible."

Next year, Barcelona Wine Week is to be held again at the regular time in February and thus fit into the international wine fair calendar.
