The world famous German artist Gerhard Richter has designed the label of the 2015 Château Mouton Rothschild. For this he created the work "Flux", a marble-like, dynamic structure, which is characterized by the colors red and green in different shades and movements.

For this work, the 75-year-old Richter had various lacquer colours run onto a Plexiglas plate and photographed the movement and change when the shades of colour meet. Finally, he had a second glass plate applied to the surface in a moment of harmony of the colours defined by him.

The label also bears the signature of the owner of Mouton, Philippe Sereys de Rothschild, with the handwritten note: "Mouton ne change", in English "Mouton does not change".

Château Mouton Rothschild has had many of the world's greatest artists design its labels. Among them are Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Juan Miró, Georges Braque, Andy Warhol, David Hockney, Francis Bacon, Jeff Koons and Lucian Freud.
