The Antinori winery in Chianti Classico is the most beautiful wine tourism destination of 2022, voted number 1 in the "World's Best Vineyards". The spectacular building, designed by architect Marco Casamonti, blends into the landscape and has been considered one of the most beautiful wineries in the world since it opened in 2012. Antinori managing director Renzo Cotarella sees the award "as an upgrade for the whole Chianti Classico and confirmation of the pioneering spirit of the Antinori family".

Every year, the best destinations for wine tourists are voted into the list of the "World's Best Vineyards" by around 600 international experts who have all visited these wineries themselves. In addition to the beauty of the landscape and the gastronomic and cultural offerings, the architecture is also evaluated. A prerequisite for inclusion in the list is public access to the wineries.

As in the previous year, Marques de Riscal in Spain is in second place in the ranking, and Montes in the Colchagua Valley in Chile is in third place. The highest ranked German winery is Schloss Johannisberg in the Rheingau in 5th place (after 35th place last year), and in 14th place is the Dr. Loosen winery on the Mosel. The Domäne Wachau was voted the best wine tourism destination in Austria in 20th place.
