According to its own information, the Portuguese cork producer Amorim has significantly improved its production process for the prevention of TCA. By the end of the year, the company plans to deliver around 350 million corks guaranteed to be TCA-free. The new manufacturing process complements the "NDTech" process used to operate the highest quality cork line. According to a press release, Amorim has been working on the new process for two years. The company did not yet provide any information about the technical background, as the patent procedures have not yet been completed.
