The community project "Schato Schütz #silvanerallezusammen" unites Silvaner from the 2023 vintage from 16 Franconian winemakers. The wine will be presented on November 7 with a party in Würzburg. The project of wine merchant Sebastian Schütz (image) from the Würzburg wine shop Red White Rosé*** brings together wines from Keuper, shell limestone, and sandstone soils from well-known locations. Among the 16 wineries are prominent names such as Christian Deppisch***, Rudolf Fürst*****, Horst Sauer****, Juliusspital****, Max Müller I****, Rainer Sauer****, Rudi and Benedikt May****, Rudloff***, Weingut am Stein****, Weinmanufaktur 3 Zeilen*** and Zehnthof Luckert****.

The Silvaner came as unfermented must from the individual wineries and was aged at Weingut Schmitt’s Kinder**** in two used barriques on the lees for 20 months. A total of around 400 bottles and 30 magnums were filled. According to initiator Schütz, the result is "a great wine that unites all of Franconia, reflects the potential of the Silvaner grape variety, and makes the solidarity of the Franconian winemakers tasteable." It costs 45 euros per bottle. A five-liter bottle will be auctioned for the benefit of the Würzburg food bank. Tickets for the gala event are available here.
