However, it only took a few days for wine professionals, vintners, wine fans and connoisseurs to come together in a new way in social media. Digital projects emerged spontaneously with enthusiasm for a good goal or just to exchange ideas.

Within a few days, vintners, for instance, started generous aid projects for those hardest hit by the pandemic with unexpected resonance and reach. If they offer their good bottles for an important aid project on Facebook and elsewhere, the quotas are usually sold out within only one or two days. Moreover, during the past few days, web shops for the support of vintners and wine traders went online, whose turnovers are currently still mostly tending towards zero.
