After almost ten years of abstinence, the Bischöfliches Weingut (Episcopal Winery) presented us with wines again for the first time – but with an extensive range from several vintages. The Pinot Noirs from 2018, 2019 and 2020 in particular are so good that we now have to count the estate among the most important Pinot producers in the country. The Riesling qualities are perhaps not quite as uniform. But here, too, it is not difficult to find convincing wines, especially if the wines are given some time to mature.
