But nobody has to. It is much more exciting to discover new and unknown things. And there is plenty of that in South Tyrol. In this year's list of best wines, many readers will find not only well-known wines and producers, but also names they may never have heard of.
And that's no wonder: it was hardly any different for us. We are all the more pleased that every year more small, until then largely unknown, sometimes even very young producers decide to present their wines to us. As the results make clear, they are often worth every bit of attention!
